38 weeks + 1 Day Pregnant // late post

December 05, 2017
Hi Skittle Biscuits,

I was working on this post before having my little nugget but thought I would share it anyways!
Hope you enjoy the read.

----

I can't believe we've made it this far, but then again they say that the baby usually comes late during your first pregnancy.

Yesterday, I had the worst hip pain. With every move or step it would hurt so bad. And sleeping on Sunday night was even worse because every time I changed positions, it would put so much weight on my hip. Luckily, today I feel a lot better. Little nugget was moving a lot last night and I was having a lot of BH contractions. I am kinda glad I am headed to the doctors today to check up.

I have moved into wearing hubs clothes now. It just fits and feel better. But I can't wait to wear normal cute clothes again!

The other night, hubs told me had a dream about little nugget! He said that we were feeding her inside the car. He was holding the baby and I was holding the bottle.

Dr Brandt No more baggage

October 25, 2017
Hi Hi Skittle Biscuits!

This is a review for the Dr. Bandt eye depuffing gel. Initially when you get it out of the tube, the color is an orangey shade which surprised me! But the color and gel blended away easily! The texture is smooth and balmy similar to a foundation primer. The effect was very cooling to the skin and I noticed in just a couple minutes that I looked less tired! My pro tip is to use your fingers to apply directly onto your skin. My only con is that it's difficult to squeeze out of the tube. I received this product free for testing from influenster and Dr. Brandt ~~

34 weeks pregnant & 37 week update

September 30, 2017

Image result for ayr nasal spray

Hello skittle biscuits!
I can't believe it's 34 weeks into my pregnancy. That mean's only 6 more weeks until I meet my little nugget! I am so excited but worried and anxious.

We still need to clean up her items and organize her area.

I also have more big news! We are buying our first home together. We found a 2-story home in a cute neighborhood and I can't wait to move in. We will need to fix up some things first though.

The hurricane hit Houston a couple weeks ago. It was just days and days of rain and I almost got sick from missing the sun!

----

It's 37 weeks now! and I never thought time could be so slow. My work leave begins on the 16th and I've got lots to take of before I take my break.

I've noticed people around me are so much nicer and they just smile when they see me.

We went to the doctor's yesterday and she said everything looked good. I told her I was having a lot of nose bleeds recently and she said that it was really common in pregnant women due to the extra blood flow. She recommended me some Flonase and Ayr saline nasal spray and also a humidifier! So hopefully, if you are having nose bleeds too. This will help you!

Little Nugget isn't kicking as much now but more of a rolling around movement. I assume because there isn't much room left to kick! Sometimes she will stick out her arm or leg and I can see it through my skin! It's really weird but cool at the same time. Strange because there is something living inside me but good because I know she is okay in there.

Well that's all for now! Till next time <33

MAKEUP FOREVER ULTRA HD FOUNDATION

September 03, 2017
Hey skittle biscuits,

I am back with another beauty review. This time, it is for MUFE Ultra HD foundation (also the award winner of 2017 Allure reader's choice)!

Thank you Influenster and Makeup Forever for sending me three different shades to review. The one that matched me best was Y325 - Flesh.

Coverage: The coverage is medium, easy to blend and lightweight on the skin. It will even out your skin tone so that it is nice and bright. It covers pimple scars but you might need to put on another layer to the areas with more redness.

Wear: I applied this before going to work and it lasted until I got home! So I am very impressed with the wear because I like to touch my face a lot lol

I think the foundation was a really good match for my skin tone. My pro tip is dot it all over your face and blend in circular motions with your favorite brush.

Overall, I love this foundation for everyday wear. It's not to heavy and provides the perfect coverage without looking cakey! I highly recommend this to makeup lovers with dry to combo skin. If you are on the oily side, I would suggest using a finishing powder on top to set it.

Have you guys tried this foundation? What did you think? Until next time!

30 weeks pregnant update

August 27, 2017
Hello Hello Skittle Biscuits,
Thanks for clicking to read my update! I am at 30 weeks now and our little nugget is moving a lot. Sometimes I can't even sleep because the kicks are getting so hard they keep me awake or wake me up. Actually, I was a bit concerned so I asked Dr. Google if it was normal because she was kicking SO MUCH! I found a forum and they said that it was better if the baby was moving a lot than not at all, so that did put my mind at rest. They also suggest that I walk around a bit so it could make the baby fall asleep.

3 hour glucose test, yes I had to take it since I failed the first test. And let me tell you, it was not fun! I was so upset when I got the phone call from the clinic. We were in LA on our babymoon so I just felt horrible afterwards. I totally felt like an unfit mom and I wasn't watching my desserts. So make sure to pass it the first time when they only have to stick you once!

Some tips for passing, no sugar or carbs for a week and drink lots of water.
I was pretty much hungry most of the week since I limited myself to protein and veggies. I am just so use to eating rice and bread!

here's a snack, spinach salad, with cucumber blueberries and some ranch

I also blame my dad for bringing lychee over the week before my 1 hour glucose tolerance test. UH, note to self and other expectant moms. You aren't suppose to eat lychee because the sugar content is SUPER high.

Well until next time! Leave me a comment if you have any questions!

PIT Cleansing Milk - Troiareuke

August 03, 2017
Hi Skittle Biscuits!

I am back with another kbeauty review!
Troiareuke sent me this cleansing milk to test and I absolutely fell in love. The consistency is similar to a lotion. It applies smoothly and easily with the brush.

To use this cleanser, start off with a dry face and apply it directly to your skin. Wait for 2-5 minutes and then remove it with a clean towel or beauty cloth.

PIT stands for Phase Inversion technique, it means that it changes state from water to oil and oil to water. That is why we leave it on for at least 2 minutes, the cleanser changes from cream into milk (water type).

I know I know, the price is a bit steep! But there is a reason why it is at this price point. There are 2 types of dirt, oil-dirt and water-dirt. Oil dirt can only be removed with oil and water dirt can only be removed with water. Many of us are guilty for using foam cleansers which have a surface active agent which is good for removing dirt but it also removes moisture, making your skin feel dry after cleansing.

Overall, I love how it removes extra dirt after my first cleanser and works well as a first cleanser as well. It does take a little extra time but it's well worth it. I highly recommend this for all skin types, especially sensitive skin because it works without rubbing or exfoliating. Till next time!

Luxe City Center Hotel - Review

July 31, 2017
“Great Location, but needs new towels”
I initially picked this hotel for the location because it's right across LA Live and basically in the middle of downtown. Bottega Louie is walk-able and FIGat7th is 2.5 blocks down. (FIGat7th - H&M, Zara, VS and Target.)
http://www.figat7th.com/

Bed was comfy and there are plenty of pillows. The shower is really nice but there is no bath tub. I liked the huge rain shower head. Wifi was great, it was relatively fast and easy to connect.

The only part I didn't like was the stained towels, some had makeup/blood stains and I even found a hair in 2 of them, one was super curly and stuck between the threads so I know it wasn't mine. I highly recommend them to replace towels and carpeting in the hallways. Also, we were kicked out of the seating area near the 2nd floor restrooms because we were eating a snack. Apparently, that area is a part of the restaurant?

There is a little convenience store attached but they close at 10 pm. They have a large smart water bottle to purchase for around $3. We also left some items in the safe by accident and they kindly called us back and we picked it up at the front desk.

Overall, service was good and bad. Room was big but needs new towels. Will probably stay at another hotel on my next visit.

Week 25 - Pregnancy Update

July 14, 2017
Pregnancy Post

So we have picked a name! Belle is 25 weeks now and I can't believe I am in the third trimester. My stomach is growing more and more everyday and it's getting uncomfortable to sit too long or eat too much in one sitting.

Our baby registry is complete and has been sent out to our friends and family. Each day gets more surreal and I can't believe we will be parents. A part of me is scared and nervous but I am also excited and happy. I suppose you never feel like you are truly ready. And hopefully it will just come to us naturally.

Genetics! I am hoping she will get my DH's height since he is tall but my eyes since they are big and deep with emotion. But overall, I wish for her to be healthy and happy.

We have planned and booked our baby moon. We will be in Los Angeles eating the town away. I am excited for this trip because it'll be just the two of us and give us time to reconnect before baby belle arrives.

BTW - it hurts to sneeze!

Givenchy - Noir Interdit Mascara Review

June 29, 2017
Hello skittle biscuits,

I am back with another beauty review! This time, it is the Givenchy mascara that seriously packs a lot of punch! First of all the packaging is GORGEOUS. Talk about luxury beauty. hehe This mascara is going to be a bit different from your average mascara. The innovative wand actually goes 90 degrees to make for an easy application! To be honest, I didn't think I would like it at first, it just seems too weird and awkward. But surprisingly, the 90 degree angle made it a lot easier to get into my inner corner area! Overall, the formula is great, doesn't clump and gives a lot of length and makes my lashes look fuller!

Thank you Influenster and Givenchy for sending this to me! I received Givenchy complimentary for review purposes.

Luke’s Lobster Back Bay - Restaurant Review

June 06, 2017
Hello Skittle biscuits,

Here is a random restaurant review! lol I just went to Boston this weekend to visit my cousin since he got married and got to do some exploring. I thought I could share the place we loved and hated. I'll start with a mediocre lobster roll place:

Luke’s Lobster Back Bay - Restaurant Review
$$  Seafood
75 Exeter Street
Boston, MA 02116

Honestly, I was expecting more since this place is a 4 star place.
We got the trio sampler (this comes with half size of lobster, shrimp and crab rolls), a full size lobster roll and the clam chowder. FYI, This place serves their rolls Maine style - so the meat will be cold. If you aren't into that, try another place. Seating is limited.. The only $2 drink they have is a diet coke. Water is free and self serve. Clam chowder was pretty basic. It's similar to the one from sweet tomatoes (soup and salad buffet). Not very creamy but I still enjoyed it! Large size is $9.

Overall, I like the place because we finished all our food but I probably won't return. It's not a must visit place for me, so skip it if you are traveling to Boston, you are not missing much!

Big News

May 29, 2017

Well hello there my skittle biscuits,
Welcome back to my blog.
I have huge news that I have been dying to share. Can you guys guess what it is??

Some clues include: nausea, tiredness and oh, a positive pregnancy test.

Lol.. well it is out! I am pregnant.

I have to admit that I was pretty nervous and worried when I first found out.
But I've grown to just be nervous now.

Right now as I am writing this, I am 11 weeks pregnant.

I am almost at the end of my first trimester and my clothes are not fitting as they should. Some foods and smells make me so sick, I can't even think about eating.

I've found a very helpful podcast for pregnancy: https://pregnancypodcast.com/
Take a listen and let me know what you think!

Well that's all for now.. til next time!

Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter

April 15, 2017
Hi Skittle Biscuits,
Today's review is for the Marc Jacobs Beauty Highlighter!

First of all the packaging is incredibly chic and beautiful. It's a frosted glass container with a with a hygienic pump. I seriously love how the highlighter looks on my counter!

The color is more of a champagne shade, and the texture is light weight which can be mixed in with your foundation or applied straight to your cheek bone for the BAM, in your face glow. For me, I like to pump a little bit and apply it straight to the places I want to highlight. I found it super easy to blend because the texture is sooo smooth.

My favorite part is that it is infused with coconut water so it keeps my skin looking hydrated and glowy! My tip is to avoid applying to your trouble areas, for example: textured skin or bumps because it will make it more visible. Another plus is that it smells incredible, I want to say it's a very subtle mix between vanilla and coconut.

The bottle comes in .8 oz/24 mL which is plenty since you only need a little bit of product, trust me when I say a little goes a LONG WAY! Speaking of long way, this highlighter lasts all day!

You can find this amazing highlighter on Sephora for $44.

Thank you Influenster x Marc Jacobs for kindly sending this to me for free in exchange for a review!

1960ny CC Cream Review

March 29, 2017
Today's review is for the 1960 NY CC cream.

This is the coolest thing I have ever seen! At first when I opened it, I was expecting a bb cream type of texture but instead it is a clear cream/gel with little beads of cc cream. I was so surprised because I've never seen anything like this before.

Upon contact of your skin, the magic color capsules covers yours flaws and creates a consistent skin tone.

It doesn't have much coverage but it gives you a very natural light coverage look. After blending it out, it leaves your skin nice and matte but hydrated as well because of the clear cream.

This cream is made for all skin types including oily and combo skin. This cream will help brighten your skin and improve wrinkles. You can also find sea grapes extract as one of the main ingredients, and this is to treat dry skin. Which is perfect for me since I have dry/combo skin.

Overall, this is perfect for everyday wear and for your no makeup makeup look. I am so excited to have this in my makeup/skincare routine.

Thank you @0.8l for sending this to for review <333

The Hair Mother Cellar M-hair Loss Shampoo

March 23, 2017
Today's review is for the M-Hair Loss Shampoo!

This shampoo is made for all scalp types. From oily to dry and even sensitive. This shampoo will prevent hair loss and even claims to thicken it.

Biotin is one of the ingredients that stood out to me, not sure about you but I've definitely heard of biotin vitamins that help your hair and nails grow. Another important ingredient is jojoba seed oil that helps nourish and moisturize your scalp by forming a moisture shield. There are also 10 varieties of tea complex including: Chinese licorice, turmeric, iris, green tea, sage, mug wort, smooth loofah, calendula, Siberian chrysanthemum and rosemary which all help to contribute to sooth and protect your scalp.

Even though it's labeled for men I thought I'd give it a try. This shampoo is easy to lather and smells amazing! It smells minty and refreshing like eucalyptus oil. The bottle is a sleek black color and the pump makes it super easy to dispense. I've only used it for a short while but I've already noticed less fall out.

The price is a bit on the hefty side, but if you willing to invest in your hair and wanting less fallout, this is for you! I highly recommend this shampoo to anyone who is trying to maintain thick and full hair! Thank you .08L for kindly sending this to me for review! <33

February 21, 2017
WeeklyJ DreamCatcher Review~ Ah! I was so excited when I received this adorable dream catcher in the mail! The box came in a beautiful sturdy box and right when you open it, you are greeted with a cute card saying "You received a good dream!" I love the peach color scheme that I received but they also have many other options available! I can tell that it was with lots of love and I adore how there are little bells attached. I am so excited to hang my new dream catcher up! I feel like Cha Eun Sang from Heirs lol.

#TheLipPencil Review

February 12, 2017
Hey Skittle Biscuits,
I hope you all are doing well. Today I am a bit under the weather due to lack of sleep and sore throat. But anyways, let's get into the review!

This review is for the Bite Beauty's Lip Pencil. I have done a review on the lipsticks before and I seriously loved them. Therefore, I had a lot of expectations from the pencil. You can find these at sephora for $18 and the size is .05 oz of product. The pencil is full size and easy to hold with the matte exterior. Similar to their lipsticks.
A on packaging.

My only gripe is the security packaging on the outside. I know many other pencils and eyeliners have this plastic packaging but I seriously hate it because they are so difficult to remove. I much prefer a box packaging.

Application: The pencil glides onto your lips very easily and it is so soft like a Korean melon Popsicle. I tend to not wear lip pencils due to the fact that they are so drying and difficult to apply. But these are the complete opposite. The consistency is creamy and highly pigmented.

Overall: Love the product! 4.5 out of 5 stars. I took away .5 a point because of the annoying plastic but the product is amazing and I am sure you will fall in love as well.

Cheers to a Happy Sunday~

P.S. I received these products for free from @bitebeauty and @influenster. Thank you for letting me test out these beauty products!  #thelipPencil #contest

Hello skittle biscuits,
Today's post is a review for the ABH modern ren palette. I am obsessed with shadow palettes. I can never have enough. But this one is truly special. Not only is it my first abh product but it's my first berry toned palette. With the romantic velvet exterior, I instantly fell in love. The shadows are so pigmented and creamy. The colors apply so smoothly and I am so happy with this product.

My Top 5 sheet masks

January 26, 2017
Helllloooo skittle biscuits,
Welcome welcome to another post.
I've been wanting to write this entry for a while now so here we go!!

5. Leaders - 2step mela tox mask
Alright so Leader's is relatively new. But they are quite pricey.. I was lucky enough to find them at TJ Maxx and so I said hey why not. It turns out, I really liked their mask. It fits well and works well.

4. Bonvivant Pure Mask - Who doesn't love to get a value pack? You can find a great deal for these on memebox. Especially with my 20% off discount code. http://bit.ly/2azvy9G
14 pieces for $14 and it includes a headband!

I really like the cost of these and also the sheet mask is made of natural ingredients so that it is easier to decompose when you toss it out.

3. Etude House - I need you
These are amazing and by far one of my favorites and it's actually the same level with bonvivant.
They smell and feel great. 20 pieces for $27

2. Oozoo
Although this mask can get a bit messy inserting the serum into the socket. I love the soft texture of the mask. Removing it is the best feeling. It makes my skins brighter and luminous.

1. Klavuu Sheet Mask $6/ piece

This brand is bomb dot com. You guys need to definitely try it out. I was lucky enough to receive some for free. Not only is the mask a perfect size and fit, it actually has a patent on the material they use for the sheet. The scent is pleasant and relaxing and will leave our skin feeling soft, supple and bright.
