Jelly Clay Mask - Rainbow masking

July 24, 2016
Hey skittle biscuits!

Welcome back, today's post is about the new Bonvivant Clay Mask kit. I bought mine on memebox.com and it also includes a cute cat headband!

This kit includes 3 types of masks.
The pink one is for dry skin, and the blue one treats oily skin and the black one is made from jeju volcanic ingredients that helps clean out your pores, I like to use this one on my nose, because my pores are the biggest there!

So let's get on to the review!
Packaging: the masks packaged in these cute little 70 gram containers. Each jar comes in it's own safety sealed box so that you know it hasn't been tampered with.

Scent: There is barely any scent to these masks so that is very nice. Sometimes k-beauty products are so heavily scented it can give you a headache but these are not offensive at all!

Pro's: my face felt so soft and clean afterwards, my favorite has got to be the pink one and the jeju volcanic one but I also love how the blue one made my face feel minty fresh. This idea of rainbow masking is such a good idea! I love that I can spot treat different area's of my face because .. seriously? who has the same skin all over their whole face?

Downfall/Con: I would say the time to apply each mask to different spots. Sheet masks are definitely the easy on the go mask but I would say this is nice for the weekend when you want to treat yourself to a nice at-home spa.

Overall score: 9/10! I loveee to treat my skin and I have to admit, it is so fun to take selfies while wearing different colored masks on your face. Also, the price point isn't bad. This will definitely save you money in the long run since you don't throw it out right after like a sheet mask.

Have you tried the new bonvivant masks? What did you think of them? Let me know <33

Until next time! Always,

Kieu

Hourglass - VANISH Foundation Stick

July 21, 2016
Hey skittle biscuits!

I am back with another review, it seems like this blog is becoming a review blog but that is just what I've been really into lately: MAKEUP MAKEUP and SKINCARE lol..

Anyways, this foundation is brand new from the Hourglass brand. It comes in 26 different shades and it contains .25 ounce of product. It claims to be highly concentrated so you don't need as much product. At first I was a bit worried, thinking that it would be like a concealer stick because I honestly hate those. So let's get into the nitty gritty!

Application:
It applies like a dream, easy to blend and so build-able! I recommend wearing this with a primer and a setting powder on top. My skin type is combo/dry and I didn't see it clinging to any dry patches which is great! I wore this throughout the day and it was still on after the intense workout.

Packaging:
I seriously love the sleek brown packaging and it is easy to carry for traveling. The triangle shape is super unique and out of the ordinary.

Price point:
$46 for .25 ounce is definitely on the higher-end for me. But the way I look at it, you get what you pay for and overall, I really loved the foundation! "Hello to my new holy-grail foundation! I thought I would never find you!"

Rating: 5/5 Skittles

Now onto the brush:
This brush is amazing, and I think a must have with this foundation stick. It gives you the true experience of the brand. I like that it is small so I can get into the smaller areas around my nose and eyes. It is also super soft and makes blending a breeze!

Well, that's the end of it. I hope you guys find this review helpful and insightful. Until next time!

Always,
Kieu

To watch it in action:

P.S. Thank you influenster and hourglass cosmetics for sending this to me! I deeply appreciate it and I've been wanting to try this brand for a long long time now. It was just never in my reach. Thank you once again! XOXO

Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation - Dry Skin

July 16, 2016
Hello skittle biscuits!

I am back with another review! Firstly, I know this product has been out on the market for quite some time now but I just wanted to try it for myself.

This foundation comes in a hefty 1.7 ounce tube-like packaging. I say it's hefty because I find that most foundations around this price range comes with .9- 1 ounce. I seriously love the wooden cap because you know how messy our hands get after application.

The first thing I noticed was that the application was soo smooth and easy to blend with my skin. It is definitely light weight but not as light as the UD Naked foundation.

The coverage is medium and definitely build-able. So onto dry patches, I know the Tarte tinted bb cream clings onto my dry spots but this one does not. I also think it's slightly waterproof. After swatching it on my hand, I ran it over some water and the foundation was still there!

SPF is at a low 15, compared to other Korean bb creams, those come at 30-50 spf.

My overall score is an 8.5/10. I honestly love this product, it's long lasting even in the dry Vegas heat and the price point is good. Coverage is a bit lacking because I have some really dark freckles and pimple scars. I know I could build up the coverage but I don't want my face looking cakey or feeling heavy. I think it's great for an everyday wear however I am still on the look out for my holy grail foundation.
