Cherry Ssom Organic Soap - Review

April 29, 2016
Hello my skittle biscuits!

Today's post is a review for the Yurica Cherry Ssome 100% Natural Organic Soap. Thank you 0.8LUSA for sending this to me. If you guys are not familiar with this company, they sell Korean beauty products. Here is their website: http://www.08liter.com/home

A little background story and research? Sure, why not!

It is made with organic ingredients including manuka honey and cherries! As I was reading the ingredients, I was asking myself, okay.. what is different about regular honey and manuka honey? It turns out that manuka honey is produced in New Zealand by bees that pollinate the native manuka bush. People say it treats wound infections and other conditions. So I think that makes a lot of sense for them to take this ingredient and put it into this facial soap to cure acne and to keep your skin clear. Smart thinking beauty company!

So let's get into the review!

Firstly, the packaging is amazingly cute!! The box is pink and it kind of gives off this pop-art comic vibe, I am going to keep the box forever because I love pink so much. lol

Secondly, the soap smells SO good! Of course, it smells like cherries.

Functionality: let's be honest, I was a bit hesitant to use a bar soap. I mean who uses a bar any more? Isn't it all about the pump and liquid soaps now? But I think this is how they keep the natural organic ingredients active.

Day 1: I am totally loving the smell. It was a bit difficult to lather up but I feel like my skin is SOO clean and soft after I use the soap. However, it is a bit drying.

Day 2: Easier to lather up the soap to a nice consistency and my skin is looking good. No breakouts so far!

Overall: 7.5/10

Thank you so much for reading my review! See you next time!

March favorites/ Sorry for lack of March posts!

April 06, 2016
Hello my skittle biscuits,

I just realized I only had one blog post for the month of March and I am so sorry! Life was super busy. March was filled with celebrations, from birthdays to weddings. I am so happy and thankful that I was able to take part in my cousin's wedding. She made the most beautiful bride with her lace wedding dress. Not to mention, my car was in an accident as well. I woke up one morning to find my rear bumper and light smashed. Gosh, I was so devastated but luckily the person took responsibility and left his number at the office.

But yes, recently I have been listening to "the martian" audio book and I feel like I am learning so much about the lives of astronauts. I know it is fictional but to have enough will power and problem solving skills to grow potatoes and live by yourself that long, I think I would go crazy and just die! I am about half way done with the book, and can't wait to finish it!

Anyways, lets get into my March favorites shall we?

My first favorite is the Innisfree Jeju Mineral Essence.

I just love the packaging! It comes in this metal can with a pump, it kinda reminds me of a mousse hair product can. And the product comes out in a foam consistency which is super fun to use. I have been using it the morning and night and my skin is so moisturized right now, No more dry/flaky skin! Oh and it smells super good and refreshing, I love to apply this to my entire face and neck! I ordered mine from memebox. $24

My Second favorite this month is the Herbal Essence Dry Shampoo.

Gosh, this thing smells amazing. I am actually really surprised that there isn't more hype towards this dry shampoo. All I hear about is batiste, but then again I haven't tried batiste yet. Anyways, not only does it smell amazing, it doesn't leave that white residue that you commonly get with other dry shampoos. I am so sad I ran out because I need to buy a new one now.. you can find this at Walgreen's or any drugstore. $7-8

My third beauty favorite this month is the too faced blush in love hangover.

This blush has that perfect orange/ pink tone that I have been loving since the weather is warming up and all. I see myself turning to this blush on a daily basis because I look sick if I don't wear any blush. I love how long lasting it is, I apply it in the morning before I go to work and it is still there at the end. $26

Well that is all for this month! I hope you find them helpful in your search for new beauty items.

XOXO,
Kieu

Louis Vuitton - Learning about my new bag

April 05, 2016
Hello my skittle biscuits!
Today's post is about my new never full bag. I never realized there was so much about a purse that I didn't know. It totally opened up my eyes to another world.

I would always tell myself, that is too expensive and too much money to spend on a bag. But now I realize and understand why people are obsessed with these luxury brands.
Not only do they hold their value as time goes by, but they are also beautifully crafted. This pouch that holds your belongings is a work of art. Each thread is perfectly stitched and evenly placed.

Moving on to the handles, I snapped a picture and one of my friends said hey, the handles are turning. I was so confused what she was talking about. Turning? Is that a good or bad thing? She clarified and said the handles will turn into a honey color. I looked it up and it's actually called "patina."

Patina is the art of aging leather. It turns into a different color, beginning as a light white/yellowy tone into a more honey shade and eventually into a darker brown. Some say that seeing an item patina is a remarkable thing to witness.

Another great thing about my bag is the weight. I usually carry a tote bag to work and believe me. It is filled with knick-knacks. Transferring the same items to my new bag, I was surprised to feel the weight difference. It is incredibly lighter and way easier on my shoulder.
