Perseverance

A few people I know recently complete the marathon in our city. A 26.2 mile course in the middle of winter. I can imagine how miserable it might have been if we lived in a colder state but luckily we are here in Texas. Although the weather might have been on their side, the true enemy in this case would be nothing but their mind.
Their mind will determine if they would finish this daunting task on their body. Have they trained enough? How will they finish? Will they finish? Are just a few of the questions that run through their mind.
I am so impressed at the instrument that we call the human body.
While others are testing their limits, I am here dreaming of what I could be doing.
The body is such a tool that we take for granted.
